Mr. Craig Hammer, Esq., Treasurer: Craig Hammer, Esq. is a Governance Specialist at the World Bank. He manages a program, which strengthens laws, policies, and regulations that improve governance and accountability in developing countries including Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Nigeria, South Africa, Mali, Morocco, Kyrgyz Republic, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Timor Leste, among others. He is also a Senior Fellow of the Institute for Human Rights, Peace and Development at the University of Florida. He has published extensively under the auspices of this Fellowship, including books, chapters, and refereed journal articles. He has been elected to the Executive Council of the Society for the Policy Sciences at Yale University, and has been appointed to the Council of Editors for the Journal of Law and Politics in Moscow. Craig is a leading advocate for indigenous peoples’ rights, and is Procurador Judicial (Abogado Defensor), or senior legal counsel, for the Shuar Nation, a 150,000 member indigenous nation in the Ecuadorian section of the Amazon Basin.
